The staff that we have at MAMS is what sets us apart from other schools. Our staff goes out of their way to form positive uplifting relationships with students to help them become respectful, caring, responsible, positive people. They work hard to provide students with a safe orderly learning environment where all students are nurtured and valued. At MAMS you will find that all staff know the students by name. You will see our janitors, cooks, support staff, and teachers taking a personal interest in students. The positive relationships that are forged between staff and students, during the middle school years, will help to shape our students attitudes as they become adults.
Our teaching staff is highly qualified as measured by No Child Left Behind standards. In addition, over 80% of our teachers hold masters degrees or in the process of getting their masters degree. We have a National Science teacher of the year on staff, various state teaching award winners, and 3 National Board Certified teachers on staff. These numbers demonstrate the high level of commitment from our staff to be the best teachers that they can be. MAMS offers many clubs and activities designed to promote social development, involvement in our school, and teamwork. We strive to utilize advanced technology in the classroom to provide a rigorous, engaging, learning experience for our students. You will find our staff goes the extra mile to give students the academic support that they need to be successful. Our MAMS staff understands the unique developmental needs of your child. That understanding, combined with sound instructional approaches, caring for children, and high expectations results in high student achievement. |
